[continued from previous post]

R: Yes. I’ve heard two things from you here. The second one I’m hearing tonight, the first one I heard before. What I heard before was that you are aware of what will be happening to us. That you have a preview, somehow. You know before we know what’s happening. And now I’m hearing you say that you actually arrange this.

F: Both of those are true, but neither one of them is the full thing. Let’s back up a little.

You remember that all possible situations have their reality. Now that should be just mind-boggling to you, because it’s just staggering complexity. It all has its reality, and the question is, which of those will you go to? And so, looked at one way, yes we know the future because they’re all there, we can see where you’re going now. But tomorrow you might go in a different direction. In other words, we can predict the future, but you may not go there! [they laugh] But that future still exists! (more…)

Rita Warren: I’d like to pick up a little bit on one of the topics we were on last time. We were talking about all the disaster issues last week, and one of the things we’re hearing lots about is the idea of evil. And I wonder if you can talk some about the idea of evil as regards human behavior.

F: Big subject.

R: Well, yes.

F: All right. As usual, we have to start a long way away. Suppose you look at the whole universe as a balanced system. Let’s look at it in electrical terms, so that it has positive and negative — for the moment we’re not talking about good being positive and evil being negative, but as positive and negative. As polarity. And every polarity has to balance out. Otherwise, there’d be something left over, you know [laughs] and it couldn’t be.

Taking the universe as a unit, its various polarities all have a positive and negative end to them. And – this is a spatial analogy, but we don’t know how to avoid it – in various localized parts of the universe, there might be more negative or more positive. And certainly the negative and positive could be intermingled, they could fluctuate, they could go back and forth. Like everything else, they form fluctuating patterns. But there’s no such thing as being able to eliminate all the negative, and have even one atom of positive more than negative. It just can’t be done. (more…)

R: Okay, let me ask this. Would the events that happened in our time and space today change the energy at your level in some ways?

F: Well, you know, we’re not surprised by any of this. We know what’s going on that hasn’t happened in your area yet. We know converging probabilities to the degree that it might as well be set, okay? So, how should it change our energies?

R: Well, I guess I’m saying that there may be, on the earth level, lots of demand for your attention today.

F: But, but, you know — how many people died? When you have 15 or 20 or 30 billion at a time, then you might start taxing our facilities. After all, World War II didn’t tax us, this isn’t going to tax us. In the sense of a drain on our attention, if that’s what you mean,

R: This would be a small event, compared to the kinds of events in your –

F: In a way, you could kill everyone on the planet on the same day, and – the mission of the planet to the side, just considering that number of people –if we had to we’d react to it. (That is not likely to happen.) (more…)

[The night of the day of the terrorist attacks that coordinated the hijacking of four airplanes and destroyed three buildings in New York City as well as killing an unknown number of people.]

Rita Warren: All right. Well as you know this has been a sad day for us and we’re checking in to see if this is good thing for Frank to do a session with us tonight.

F: Good thing for him.

R: Good thing for him. All right.

F: He tends not to get in touch with this stuff.

R: Meaning an emotional barrier to it, or – ?

F: He tends not to be in touch with emotions responding to [inaudible] (more…)

[continued from last post]

R: Well then, one of the things that we think about is how to improve our world for the people in it, for the masses of individuals in it. And we think about that in terms of children, and how children’s lives are led, and how it impacts them and doesn’t, and millions of us have lived our lives trying to make a better world, if you will. And I’m hearing you say well of course, it makes sense that one does that with children. But the whole goal of making a better world doesn’t seem to make any sense from the perspective that you’re speaking.

F: Well, let’s be careful. We’ll say this carefully. We’ll try to say this carefully. Your trying to make a better world is good work, because of what you’re choosing. But – better world implies that you know how to make a better world. And (more…)

[I decided that the Monroe free-flow 27 tape wasn’t necessary.]

Rita Warren: Not going to use the sound tonight?

F: Let’s try without it.

R: All right. In that case, just get very relaxed and move yourself into a very comfortable state, to the point where you’re able to move your conscious mind out of the way a bit so that we can speak directly to the gentlemen upstairs. If you want to do some resonant tuning you can do that….

F: Are we rolling?

R: Yes we are. So this is an experiment tonight, we’re trying without your listening to the Hemi-Sync, and without doing the resonant tuning, but you’re doing a good job of being very relaxed and willing to let the gentlemen upstairs come through

F: They always come through. I don’t need a lot of preparation (more…)

[Continued from previous post]

R: Well, suppose there’s a world-wide catastrophe like Hitler represented – it seemed to us it was a world-wide catastrophe – would you react with some kind of negative emotion to that?

F: Um, well – we wouldn’t see it the way you see it. Would you react emotionally to an electrical storm, say? Or to – oh, a random number generator generating more ones than zeroes for a while? You know? We tend to see it more as an interesting natural phenomenon than as a life and death battle between good and evil. You see it that way, but you need to see it that way, that’s what you’re there for. But we do not.

R: Do you experience anything like what we would call love? (more…)

This is Ellen Emerson’s long letter to her brother Edward (these were two of Ralph Waldo Emerson’s children) which I copied from the book The Letters of Ellen Tucker Emerson, scanned, and more or less cleaned up mainly by extensive paragraphing. Ellen Emerson was 23 in mid-1862, writing to her brother on his 18th birthday. This is long, but it interested me and seems to me it should interest you. Here is a first-hand account, from a 23-year-old genteely-raised New England girl, of an epoch in her life: Conversations with sick and wounded men — boys, many of them, really — veterans of army life, sickness, battle and (often) injury. It seems to me an invaluable window into another time.

Newport. July 10th 1862

This being your birthday my dear I must at any rate write you a letter. First I will tell you of to-day’s events, too good to lose, and if I afterward have time I will go back to other scenes and pastures old. This morning at 7 o’clock we started for the Portsmouth Grove….

After some embarrassed waiting, and after some much constrained and terrified visiting of tents to bestow oranges, we returned to Miss Clarke who was making tea on the piazza and distributing it to nurses (soldiers of course) who carried it to their men. Presently came a major who drove away the men who clustered round, and told us to go to the immense shed at back of headquarters with our apparatus and he would send there the men just landed from the transport and who had had no breakfast. (more…)

Rita Warren: All right, good evening to the gentlemen upstairs.

F: Hi there.

R: All right, if you want to move aside a little bit – [watches Frank yawning] All right, nice and relaxed; that’s good. I’ve been asking a lot of questions about the nature of the gentlemen upstairs. I have another one.

Frank: I can hear them groan.

R: I’ve been wondering whether in your state there are male and female energies, or whether there’s an absence of gender phenomena in your state. (more…)

[continued from previous post, July 7]

R: I’d like to ask a question that has to do with the variety of lifetimes that an energy like Frank, or anyone else, goes through. Is there some continuity in the role in the physical world that this energy experiences in a series of lifetimes?

F: [pause] We know what you’re asking, but we’re thinking about answering something slightly different. Because the answer to your question as posed is “yes, but no.” This is why we’re going to rephrase the question a little differently.

Suppose you had a hundred lifetimes, just for a round number. Say there were five that had a common thread. And there might be another five with a different thread, and another ten with another thread, you see. When you are in a body at any given time, there would be some easy resonances that came through. And in his case, the only ones with details have come through are modern and either American or Western European – because it’s the closest. (more…)
