Session five of ten

Background

On Tuesday, Jim Self talked to me for an hour from Chico, California, seeing what was wrong with my breathing, tracing it back to an unremembered incident of early childhood (that, perhaps, my mother misinterpreted as my having gotten too cold, when in fact it was an unnoticed scare by a dog – meaning that nobody had every picked up with Jim did). As he saw, he worked at healing, by keeping me in the present.

He pointed out that it isn’t just lungs, but also throat and nasal cavities involved. When I tell Skip this, he points out that everybody hears me as having sinus problems, and once I hear it, I realize that it is one of those things that are so obvious from the outside and not at all on the inside. I had always concentrated on the coughs and ignored, or rather disregarded, the rest.

I had been getting worried, because I wasn’t getting better, and in fact had gotten only about an hour or an hour and a half sleep Monday night. Tuesday night I got about six hours, in four segments, a vast improvement, and each night afterward was better though by Friday morning I was still not normally well. (more…)

[continuing]

[pause] I want to relate this to crystals. [pause] Well, maybe there’s not a relationship. That’s what I thought would happen. Gentlemen, what should we be ready to experience now? What do you have in mind for us? [pause]

Huh! Skip, you know how you were talking about that crystal outside [on the Institute grounds, near the lab] and how you look at it and it changes? All of us together as individual crystals are part of a big crystal that changes. I don’t know what else that has to do with the price of beans, but that just came clearly. Each of us as a crystal is a part of a larger crystal. We’re like parts of facets of crystals. Tiny but – Huh. You could even say that the inclusions and the things that don’t fit also shape it and give it color and give it interest. [pause] (more…)

Session four of ten (part1)

F: Crystals. Thinking about crystals. Visualizing myself polishing them, actually. [coughs, yawns] Might look at it like, they’re polishing us; they’re polishing their crystal receiver sets.

S: We’ll change over to the focus 12 frequencies now, and you might carry this theme forward, asking, what is this relatively newfound interest in crystals have to do with the other things going on in my life? (more…)

Session three of ten (continued)

[After long pause]

F: Brought something to my lips and I like, kissed it and pulled it away and it became a crystal. It’s like I extruded a crystal. Like a hexagonal double-terminated.

[pause]

F: Now, my right foot has that cold energy, which isn’t cold. But it’s just suddenly become quite different from the others. That is, the other foot plus the legs.

S: Welcome the energy in.

F: Yes. Yes. There’s some connection with the crystal, it’s like the crystal – it’s like, something’s flowing smoothly, the way you would imagine light flows smoothly down a crystal. That’s what they’re attempting to do. They’re attempting to, like, polarize – this is a metaphor, but they’re like polarizing my body to make it – to clarify it, to clear out of it its imperfec—what do you call those things? Inclusions and stuff. There’s that feeling like the cold again. And that’s what they were doing, it’s coming out of the feet, and moving up toward the, whatever those things are, knees— And this time it’s like a liquid smoothness; the only way I can think of; it’s warm this time. This, though, isn’t surging like it did last time. This time it’s sort of coming up slowly. Not yet to the knees. If the intent is to – Well, what is the intent? You tell me. Clarifying is the idea. I’m not sure yet why. (more…)

Background

Health issues in the background. Sick for three weeks so far, with symptoms swapping around. Asthma not a stay-up-all-night threat, usually, now, but a continual background presence. And other things center stage: Congestion, ears filled up, coughing, sneezing, strange aches. SNAFU.

Skip not having seen me sick before wondered what this was all about, and suggested we focus on that somewhat, or rather, be open to explanation of it. (more…)

Debrief after session number two, edited (part two)

F: Remind me what the galvanic skin response is? That’s the conductivity?

S: Yes. It relates to the sudorific system, i.e. the potassium and salt content in the skin tissues, which is an involuntary response to emotional arousal. So when you have a rush of emotional arousal, whether it be fear or anger, or love, or anything – basically, you begin to sweat. Your skin tissue’s ratio of potassium/sodium changes, and your conductivity of the skin changes. So we like to see a distancing from emotions, a withdrawal, backing away, only because in the cosmology of Bob Monroe, our emotional conductivity is based on learned belief systems, so that if we can leave behind the luggage or baggage of our learned belief systems, then we can have more pure experience. But that’s a Monroe cosmology.

F: So with the green, then, which way is it. (more…)

Debrief after session number two, edited (part one)

prep session 2

F: Strange session.

S: It was soft and gentle. Nice session, good reporting. You were on your way someplace until your bladder got to you. [Examining the graph made of the electronic record with me] You see your temperature warmed up here just fine, little ups and downs are little blush responses I told you about. And your green line came down just fine. That’s resonant tuning, and back down just fine, till the end when your body tightened up and your GSR came back up because of your bladder. But interestingly enough, just about where d is on the note here, something began to happen; you began to move in a direction, and then eventually you said “this is cold, it’s getting really cold,” and there was definitely a movement. Before you began to report and experience it, there was a definite sense of direction here, as to where you were headed. And I think you were going to go really well, until right here, and then your body tightened up with the bladder. (more…)

[Background. This session not at 9 a.m. as the first, but at 11 a.m., which gave me time to have drunk a couple of cups of coffee beforehand, and time to talk to TGU in my journal, who said in part: “Continue to expect the unexpected, but continue, also, to be prepared for the unexpected to be – blankness. Nothingness. It could happen.” I replied, “But I’d bet not. It is the expectation you are trying to manage,” and they said, merely, “you know our methods, Watson.”]

Skip had no objection to my recording our post-session debriefing, and so I did. (more…)
